Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death

Grade: C

To disable the hud in Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death, go to your installation folder and open the Graphics folder. Then, open the HUD folder.

Rename hud.asr to hud.asr.bak

Rename hud2.asr to hud2.asr.bak

Now when you play the game, the hud will be gone, but text showing where the next objective is will still work.

If you want to also disable the in-game text (for completely clean screenshots), press ~ in game (the tilde key to the left of the 1 key). Type the command:

hudalpha 0

To re-enable the hud, type into the console:

hudalpha 100

(Use a number between 0 and 100 if you want a slightly transparent hud). There is also a menu option to adjust hud opacity, but only the console command will allow you to make it completely transparent.

Although you can just use the hudalpha command to make the hud transparent without renaming the hud asr files, it will also make text invisible, making the game difficult to play. It also doesn't remove a small off-white circle on the left side of the hud. Only renaming the hud asr files will remove those.
